Habitat for Humanity Victoria is part of a global not for profit organisation endeavouring to put Gods love into action based on the belief that everyone has the right to a decent place to live. We are a small organisation in Victoria but aspire to grow. You will play a critical role in getting Habitat for Humanity better known in Victoria and assisting those that already support us to engage even more deeply.

  • Work with our team to raise the profile of our cause, our programs and our ReStore social enterprise to attract more donors, volunteers, and customers.

You will bring your:

  • Experience working with communication strategies
  • Amazing digital media skills so that you can expand our profile and reach new markets
  • Fantastic story telling ability to reach out and engage the public and tell them of our journey
  • Awesome communication skills so that you can do all the other fun things like maintaining our website, social media, EDMs, and assist with the production of annual reports

Ideally you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Professional writing, journalism, communications, and media or similar (highly desirable).
  • Background and experience in contemporary Communications methods and platforms
  • Well-developed, proactive written and verbal communication skills and style appropriate to the medium in use
  • Experience in the Not for Profit (NFP) sector is desirable as is support of Habitat for Humanity Victoria values
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team and willing to take initiative

We are based in Kilsyth South and this role will be working two days a week (15 hours a week), with the possibility split the time over 3 days. There is the possibility of the role, over time growing to 22.5 hrs/week.
