As Hireup’s Disability Inclusion & Diversity Manager, you will manage Hireup’s Disability Employment Program with the aim of increasing economic and career opportunities for people with disability. Working across multiple streams including recruitment, procurement and communications, you will champion the employment and engagement of people with a disability across Hireup as well as work in partnership with the business to create a highly diverse and effective workforce.

Priorities - the work

  • Oversee Hireup’s Disability Employment Program and initiatives that seek to increase the economic opportunity of people with disability
  • Develop best practice inclusive recruitment strategies and processes in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team
  • Develop career pathways and gateways for people with disability into Hireup
  • Review and implement workplace practice for inclusivity and accessibility
  • Identify and engage with strategic partnerships to promote Hireup as an employer of choice for people with disability
  • Work and engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive and deliver disability inclusion initiatives across the business
  • Develop a proud narrative about the Hireup Disability Employment Program both internally and externally
  • Track and report on performance of the Disability Employment Program

Skills - the person

  • Experience developing or leading disability inclusion initiatives or programs
  • Demonstrated program management experience, leading initiatives end-to-end in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience in the Disability sector and a drive to create impact in this space
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling capability
  • Can-do attitude, proactive in creating new opportunities and quickly solving problems
  • Have a strong ability to work both effectively within a team and autonomously build new solutions and people-first experiences
