Kanyirninpa Jukurrpa (KJ) has an exciting opportunity available for a Manager, Social Programs. This newly created position will be responsible for day-to-day oversight and coordination of the Social Programs area, ensuring employee compliance, supervision, performance appraisal and management, budgets and expenditure. The role will involve the implementation of strategies developed by the the Executive Director, Social Programs.
KJ is focused on three complementary objectives:
To do so, KJ delivers a suite of social, cultural, environmental and economic programs. KJ has a strong reputation for engaging and supporting the Indigenous Martu people in successfully delivering these programs and is the biggest employer of Martu in the region.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Social Programs, you will be responsible for ensuring the Social Programs area operates in a spirit of partnership, which demands team-work and collaborative decision-making, transparency and mutual respect, integrity, personal initiative, creativity, political and interpersonal sensitivity and professional discretion.
The role involves having oversight of a complex and changeable operating environment influenced by multiple funding streams from an array of funding partners. You must be passionate, committed and resourceful. Working closely with Martu requires you to be adaptive and consultative, and it demands the ability to listen to, understand and respect Martu views and attitudes.
Experience with a not-for-profit organisation is desirable but not essential. What is more important is the willingness to adapt to, and comply with, the organisation’s values and principles and mentor a high performing team.
