HOPE has been a provider of community services in Western Australia for over 120 years, providing much needed support for people in the areas of alcohol and other drugs, mental health, justice and family and domestic violence. 

About the Opportunity

The Receptionist is responsible for a wide range of general administration reception duties in the headspace Kalgoorlie office.

Requirements of the Role

  • Provide a friendly and welcoming reception service to young people, and their family, friends, and carers.
  • Provide administration support to the headspace Kalgoorlie team
  • Provide assistance with events.
  • Answer telephone calls and direct to the appropriate staff member.
  • Register headspace clients and prepare client files
  • Make client appointments with headspace staff and on-site consortium partners.
  • Daily SMS Reminder send out for clients.
  • hAPI Profile and Survey created for clients.
  • Collect, record and distribute incoming mail and send outgoing mail.
  • Pick up mail weekly for both headspace - from local post office.
  • Complete general correspondence as required.
  • Receive, redirect, and respond to emails.
  • Purchase stationery, photocopier supplies and sundries, and ensure there is sufficient stock.
  • Data entry.
  • Prepare documents including filing-, photocopying, binding, laminating, and shredding.
  • Daily/ weekly housekeeping.
  • Liaising with P.O creation.

About you

  • Minimum schooling: Year 10 certificate.
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent administrative and computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable criteria

  • Current knowledge of and commitment to Equal Opportunity in all aspects of employment and service delivery.
  • Prior experience of working in a youth and or/mental

Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check (within 3 months), Working With Children card, Current C or A class driver's license, First Aid Certificate, and suitable work referees.
