HOPE has been a community service in Western Australia for over a century, providing much needed support to people affected by alcohol and other drugs, mental ill-health, youth justice issues and socioeconomic disadvantage.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Residential Support Worker to join the Youth Justice Service Pilbara/Kimberley team! The position is casual, and will include weekends and nights.
The role’s primary function is to work with other staff to create a safe and respectful home environment for young people to assist them to take responsibility and make healthy life choices.
Facilitate activities and support young people to achieve their goals, developed in their strengths based daily personalised program, and bail conditions whilst in the residential services.
Shifts are varied. There is a mixture of weekday shifts, weekday evening/overnight shifts and weekend day/overnight shifts. Staff work a mixture of shifts as part of their role.
Reporting of incidents as required by HOPE and funding body and within contractual timeframes.
Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Police check (within 3 months), Current C or A class driver's license, First Aid Certificate, verification of identification by Department of Justice (DOJ) prior to appointment,and suitable referee.
