Horses for Hope (HFH) is a small but daring independent charity with our one-of-a-kind program and a world leader in Equine Assisted Narrative Therapy. By re-imagining service delivery, we actively work to challenge labels and convention models of healing. Our collaborative work de-pathologises humans and de-stigmatises horses.

It is a significant and exciting time in the life of Horses for Hope, and we are offering a great opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified person to join our team as Manager; to lead the important and innovative work of Horses for Hope into the future.

There is potential for this role to grow as growth and development takes place and / or if the persons skill set allowed for the taking on of other roles within the organisation.

We are in a unique period of growth as we work to meet expanding demand and need. As Manager you will be accountable to the Board and responsible for;

  • The effective implementation and achievement of the organisation’s strategic and operational plans for sustainability and growth.
  • Maintaining a healthy and vibrant organisation and team, courageous in working toward our vision.

Key Roles

  • To manage the operations and development of Horses for Hope Limited as a viable and sustainable service.
  • To ensure all aspects of Horses for Hope operate effectively, efficiently and within the spirit and values of the organisation.
  • To ensure requirements of good governance, good stewardship of resources and practice standards and quality are upheld.
  • Model and ensure the HFH Values and Ethics are present and visible in all aspects of HFH at all times.
  • Provide effective leadership of the team.
  • Represent the organisation in community and Government and partnership relations.
  • Ensure a strong and positive profile within the community and philanthropic sector and that fundraising needs are met.
