About the Role:

The Operations Support Officer role is a new one and will be a key member of the Business Operations Team, servicing our whole business. The ideal person will be a generalist, having had experience across multiple sectors in various roles. One day you could be a key member of a project, next you could be helping coordinate large functions - another day you could be identifying business inefficiencies and creating solutions to streamline processes . This role requires someone who has the ability to multitask. It reports directly to the Business Operations Manager and will contribute to not only the Sustainability team but all other teams in the business.

Key responsibilities

Operational support:

  • Ensure that dashboards and reporting are aligned to the organisation’s strategic goals and action plans, and present essential information to enable improved decision-making.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes and develop streamlined processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and optimise the use of organisational resources, including SAAS and equipment, to maximise productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain and update internal systems (including employee intranet), databases, and software applications used for operational purposes.
  • Support activities associated with compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Assist in planning and coordinating internal and external meetings and events, including Housing Hub’s annual employee offsite.

Project support:

  • Support project teams with project planning and implementation by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Assist in preparing project reports and presentations.

What experience and skills are we keen for you to have?

We are looking only for the best and this person will need to:

  • Be experienced in the full Google Suite
  • Have 3 years in operations or project support roles
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to multitask, make decisions and follow up
  • Be a great communicator both oral and written
  • Have experience providing executive level support

Sector experience is not essential, however experience in working at a NFP or Disability Organisation would be well regarded.
