The Djurali Centre focuses on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, looking at all aspects of health, including social and cultural determinants, health promotion and outcomes. The Djurali Centre turns research into tangible and sustainable change in community, in healthcare, and in public policy.
The Djurali Centre is hosted by THE HEART RESEARCH INSTITUTE (HRI), located in Newtown, Sydney, which is a centre of excellence in cardiovascular medical research. Our research aims to understand all aspects of health, including cardiovascular.

Join an Indigenous led team and colleagues to contribute to the team’s work in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, with a focus on co-design methodology.
The Djurali Centre at HRI is looking for early career researchers in the field of Indigenous health.
The successful applicant/s will be part of the Djurali team and be responsible for the delivery of research projects impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The Researcher will be involved in the conception, design, and implementation of diverse research projects in the areas of Indigenous health and translational research. The position is an identified Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander role.
The role of Researcher reports to Djurali Director of Research and has no direct reports. The Djurali Centre, HRI has an established relationship with the University of NSW and consequent conjoint titles.
Part time or full time will be considered; workplace location negotiable; two positions available.
Remuneration: A competitive remuneration package along with salary-packaging options.
