The Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centre is WA’s leading youth organisation working with the WA Police Force and the community to empower children and young people to reach their potential. This all happens from our 16 centres located from Albany in the South to Kununurra in the North-West.

An exciting opportunity has risen at our Geraldton PCYC. We are currently looking for a dedicated person who is passionate about helping young people to join our team as Centre Coordinator.

Position Overview

As a centre coordinator, you will be working closely with the Centre Manager & Youth Program Coordinator to build relationships in the local community, championing PCYC’s mission and values, driving a youth focused business and assist with limited recreational activities.

  • Create a welcoming, vibrant and fun Centre culture for children & young people and staff
  • Coordinate centre operations including, assisting in centre programs and initiatives, managing venue user agreements, driving the recreational activities within the centre, and managing contracts with local service providers. 
  • Ensure centre operational and recreational compliance, reporting, financial and administration tasks are completed

About you

  • Experience in Customer Service management including product sales, stock management and cash handling
  • Experience in Administration including medium to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working in a busy and demanding customer service environment
  • An ability to work autonomously and prioritise workloads and perform daily functions with substantial level of accountability and responsibility.
  • Experience supervising recreational activities, ensuring compliance with OHS regulations
  • Current or willing to obtain National Police Check and Working with Children Check
