An amazing opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated person to join our Broome PCYC team and lead our core diversionary program, safeSPACE.

The safeSPACE program is about creating a welcoming and inclusive home away from home for our communities young people aged between 12 and 18 years of age. Through workshops, life skills training, recreational activities and a range of other activities you will work to empower the young people to reach their full potential.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to work afternoons and evenings in Program Service delivery, with some smaller daytime hours for administration. You will develop a schedule of activities to support our programs outcomes, as well a handle all the reporting and data evaluation requirements.

About you

• Possession of qualifications or relevant experience in Youth Program or Service Delivery Management, Sport and Leisure Management or similar
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with and engaging with at risk youth Demonstrated capacity to develop new business opportunities, partnerships and strategic relationships
• Proven people management skills
• Demonstrated project and program coordination skills
• Hold or willing to obtain Working with Children’s Check and National Police Clearance

Desirable:

• Experience or demonstrated knowledge in coaching in sporting related fields
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (a willingness to obtain)
• Hold or willing to obtain a HR licence
