ILGA Oceania is part of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association - a worldwide federation of more than 1,800 organisations from over 170 countries and territories campaigning for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex and queer plus human rights. We want a world where the human rights of all are respected and where everyone can live in equality and freedom: a world where global justice and equity are assured and established regardless of people’s sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions and sex characteristics (SOGIESC).
ILGA Oceania works to support the rights of, and provide a voice for all: lesbian, gay, intersex, bisexual, sister girls, brother boys, takatāpui, queer, gender queer, trans, whakawāhine, tangata ira tāne, mahu, vakasalewalewa, palopa, fakaleiti. akava'ine, fa'afafine, and fakafifine of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
ILGA Oceania has funding to advocate for the decriminalisation of activity on the grounds of a person’s SOGIESC across the Pacific region and is seeking a suitably skilled and experienced consultant to manage the program across the region.
You will deliver regional program management activities to achieve project outcomes including:
This consultancy requires a five-day per week commitment until December 2024. Dependent on funding, there may be an opportunity for consultancy renewal.

You have presence, gravitas, humility, and empathy in engaging with people from a variety of backgrounds and sensitivity to issues relating to diversity, gender equity, and human rights.
