This full-time, ongoing position offers a competitive salary range of $134,235 up to $157,759 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation.

About the Role:

Job Opportunity: Strategic Leader for the National Anti-Racism Strategy

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic leader to drive the Commission’s National Anti-Racism Strategy. In this pivotal position, you will spearhead initiatives that promote the adoption of the National Anti-Racism Framework across all sectors—government, civil society, communities, and the private sector.

Your work will encompass research, policy development, and strategic stakeholder engagement, while also raising public awareness and educating on anti-racism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Engagement: Lead and oversee the implementation of the National Anti-Racism Framework, ensuring effective collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
  • Policy Development: Manage ongoing research and consultations to support policy development and oversee monitoring and evaluation processes.
  • Public Awareness & Education: Design and deliver impactful public education initiatives, fostering robust community engagement rooted in anti-racist principles.
  • Leadership & Advice: Align the Commission’s projects and campaigns with the Strategy, supporting high-performing teams and offering strategic advice to senior leadership.
  • Representation: Serve as a representative of the Commission in various public and professional settings related to anti-racism efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven expertise in race, racism, and anti-racism in Australia.
  • Strong background in policy development within a government context.
  • Experience in community engagement and collaboration with government agencies.
  • Track record of managing complex projects and public awareness initiatives.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, relationship management, and communication abilities.
