These full-time, ongoing roles offers a competitive salary range of $111,649 up to $124,836 pa + 15.4% superannuation.

Join the Australian Human Rights Commission: Lead Cultural Reform in Our Security Group!

Are you passionate about advancing human rights and fostering inclusive workplace cultures? The Australian Human Rights Commission is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Security Group, where you will partner with esteemed organisations like the Australian Defence Force, Australian Federal Police, and Australian Border Force.

About the Role

In this dynamic position, you will lead and support a range of projects aimed at creating safe, diverse, and inclusive workplaces within our partner security agencies. You’ll have the opportunity to influence policies on diversity, promote gender equality, and champion respectful workplace behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Cultural Reform: Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based workplace cultural reform projects.
  • Conduct Research: Undertake high-quality qualitative and quantitative research, including sensitive field research, consultations, focus groups, and interviews (some domestic travel may be required).
  • Strategic Advisor: Provide high-level strategic advice to the Partnership Director and Senior Advisors on cultural reform initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders within the relevant security organizations.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members to achieve policy and project outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Expertise in Human Rights: Strong understanding of contemporary human rights and cultural reform issues, particularly in male-dominated or command-and-control environments.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven end-to-end project management experience, with the ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Research Proficiency: Highly developed skills in designing and conducting research, including data analysis and the development of actionable recommendations.
  • Analytical Thinker: Ability to critically analyse complex issues and provide strategic insights to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for preparing high-quality outputs.
  • Experience in governance, program management, or continuous improvement processes is a plus.
