About the role

An exciting opportunity to join our thriving community health care organisation and work within a truly supportive and valued based culture and engaged workforce. The Program Support Administrator will provide efficient administrative support to assist our team in delivering individual and group respite, as well as social support group activities.

The Ageing and Carers program offers flexible in home or centre-based respite support during the day, as well as Social Support Group outings and activities.

Hours are mainly Monday-Friday 9am - 4:30pm. Our qualified staff provide individualised care and support to assist each of our clients (and their carers) to stay active, connected, involved and independent at home.

What you will be doing

  • Managing staff rosters and scheduling client in-home respite sessions and accompanied outings, including liaising with Respite Assessor
  • Assist carers and clients in providing information about any changes to regular service provision, such as changes to transport arrangements, or changes to session times
  • Managing attendance records, general administration and undertake Trak data entry
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation for individual and group activities
  • Provide friendly and welcoming support to clients within the centre and answer calls in a friendly welcoming manner to ensure an efficient service to all stakeholders and clients
  • Managing purchasing food and liaising with caterers

What you will bring

Key Selection Criteria

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative role within an aged, disability or community program
  • Experience in managing time effectively, prioritising daily tasks and other requests
  • Accurate and quick data entry skills, able to work with deadlines and strong ability to multi-task
  • Previous administration / customer service experience with strong attention to detail, communication and relationship building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications

Attributes

  • Experience with rostering
  • Knowledge or experience working with Aged Care clients, home care packages and the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP desirable)
