  • Brief iLA’s spokespeople prior to media engagements to ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Draft opinion pieces, editorials, and other written communications alongside iLA’s spokespeople and subject matter experts.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide regular updates.
  • Manage and update iLA’s press lists and media contact database.
  • Research and evaluate competitors, potential sector partners, and promotional opportunities tied to expos and events.
  • Support the delivery of iLA’s internal communications plan.

About you

  • Solid knowledge of media relations practices, industry-standard PR protocols and media monitoring tools.
  • Proven experience (internships included) in PR, media relations, or related roles with a focus on securing media coverage and partnerships.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, including and established network of media contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of tasks relevant to the delivery of an effective communications and public relations strategy.
  • Ability to liaise with senior leaders and key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Current understanding of My Aged Care, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and disability sectors desirable but not essential.

Work experience

  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in PR, media relations, or related roles with a focus on securing media coverage and partnerships.
  • Knowledge of the aged care and disability sectors (desirable).
  • Network of stakeholder and media contacts (desirable).

We Offer

  • Rewarding work and being part of an organisation that makes a difference to peoples’ lives.
  • Competitive salary and employment conditions.
  • General salary packaging provisions – reduce tax and increase your take home pay.
  • Additional 3.5 days leave (pro-rate), and the ability to purchase additional leave.
