IARC is looking for a Knowledge Lawyer!

The Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC) is currently seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join our growing legal team.

The role will be a full-time 12-month contract. IARC is open to the position being filled by someone working remotely anywhere in Australia.

About the Knowledge Lawyer role

The Knowledge Lawyer is a member of IARC’s management team and is responsible for developing a skilled and dynamic legal practice. They will use their legal expertise to develop and create excellence in the legal team, publications, law reform and education activities. It is a non-client-facing role and works in a supportive team environment of experienced immigration lawyers.

In the first 6 months the key priority for this role will be updating the text of IARC’s Immigration Kit and working with a legal publisher to publish a new online edition of the Kit. IARC is planning to launch the new online edition in late 2024.

About you

  • You have at least 8 years’ experience in Australian immigration and citizenship law, including across various visa subclasses.
  • You have strong project management skills.
  • You have significant legal drafting experience.

What can we offer you?

  • Annual salary between $120,655 – $125,403, plus leave loading, plus superannuation.
