Impact of the organisation

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Central West NSW is dedicated to supporting families with seriously ill children undergoing treatment through Orange Health Services and Western NSW Local Health District and they provide accommodation and programs that ensure they can stay close to their loved ones during challenging times.

Keeping the family together can be extremely tough without support, which is why RMHC offers accommodation for parents with seriously ill kids. The RMHC accommodation House also supports mothers going through high-risk pregnancies and families with premature babies requiring regular hospital care, as well as the families of Child and Adolescent Mental Health patients.

The RMHC Hospitality Cart program based in Dubbo, provides bedside support for families in the Pediatric Ward and Special Care Nursery.

Impact of the opportunity

As the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, you will have the opportunity to implement relationship fundraising and marketing activities to optimise donor engagement and brand growth across multiple channels that include philanthropy, corporate and community corporate partnerships, events, marketing campaigns and appeals.

This is an exciting career opportunity for a relationship manager, to drive fundraising support by building donor relationships and implementing marketing initiatives that will drive funding to impact the lives of families and children across the Central West NSW community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture the donor pipeline and identify new opportunities to build partnerships with high-net-worth worth, corporate and community donors
  • Develop and implement marketing content to attract support, and to enhance brand and service awareness
  • Nurture relationships with donors, working with the team to take them through their individual donor journey to give, engaging them through fundraising initiatives that increase program support, event participation and engagement
  • Manage relationships with volunteers and working with the team grow the volunteer base across all programs.
  • Project manage the delivery of fundraising events, and engage volunteers to provide vital support
  • Analyse and update information in the database for reporting and purposes and make recommendations accordingly
  • Work in a highly collaborative manner with a passionate team committed to caring for families and children across the Western NSW community

Skills and Experience

  • Proven success and experience in relationship fundraising or commercial relationship management/sales capabilities with success achieving results through personal relationship building and tailored engagement and communication activities
  • Success building long-term and engaging high-touch relationships with key stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to create donor communications and marketing content to inspire support, drive brand and program offering awareness, and to increase fundraising income
  • Ability to showcase effective listening, diplomacy and negotiation skills to inspire donor engagement and to grow and diversity overall fundraising outcomes
  • Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to plan, implement, review and achieve project goals and objectives
  • Strong record keeping abilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • A genuine interest to make significant impact with the team at Ronald McDonald House who are committed to providing support to families and children across Western NSW
