This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate, dynamic and entrepreneurial fundraiser with a background in building and driving philanthropy programs.
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) attacks the body’s largest organ — skin — and not just the skin we see but also the connective tissue and organs inside of us. It results in wounds that never heal, disfigurement, blisters, bleeding, and ever-present pain.
Founded by a dedicated group of parents along with Jill and Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), EB Research Partnership is the largest non-profit in the world dedicated to funding research to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a group of devastating and life-threatening genetic skin disorders that affect children from birth.
EB Research Partnership utilises an innovative business model of venture philanthropy; when EB Research Partnership makes a grant to a research project, any revenue from a commercially successful therapy or product is then directed back to the organisation to fund additional research.
EB Research Partnership have a plan to defeat EB. It’s a plan that not only promises to change the lives of families fighting this disease but also to change the way rare disease treatments are found.
Through tireless research, scientists have identified the mutation that leads to EB. They believe they know how to fix the problem. And they believe that this fix is applicable to many genetic diseases. But because most people have never heard of EB, a lack of funding holds back an end to this devastating condition.
The biggest obstacle to curing EB isn’t science - it’s funding, and this is your chance to be part of this incredible organisation, leading on fundraising for EB Research Partnership Australia.
Join them in their mission to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa.
Reporting to the global CEO, this is a unique opportunity to utilise your major gifts experience, your understanding of the philanthropy landscape across Australia, your networks and your fundraising passion to build a new fundraising program across Australia for this inspirational organisation who are funding research to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa.
You will lead on the development and execution of a fundraising strategy across Australia with a focus on high value giving.
Working closely with the Australian board to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward current and potential donors, you will focus on strengthening EB Research Partnership’s brand across Australia and build new revenue streams for the organisation that will contribute to the ongoing research to cure Epidermolysis Bullosa.
