Impact You Will Have

As the Senior Community Fundraising Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating fundraising campaigns including ACRF’s national signature peer-to-peer 60k in May and a high-volume calendar of third-party running events that take place right across the country.

This role will be at the forefront of recruiting participants, donors, and supporters to support life-saving cancer research.

You will be passionate, energetic, and results-driven, executing campaigns from start to finish while building strong relationships with participants of the running events and 60k in May. This role will work cross-functionally with the internal marketing team and will have the support of agency partners.

Your focus will be on increasing funds, providing an exceptional supporter experience, and boosting ACRF’s visibility across Australia. With a hands-on approach, you will play a vital role in growing the fundraising base and advancing ACRF’s mission to create a world without cancer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive initiatives to make ACRF the "charity of choice" for third-party and participation-based events.
  • Lead campaign initiatives, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Create project plans to execute national peer-to-peer fundraising events including 60km in May and third-party sports events.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications teams to develop acquisition and promotion plans.
  • Lead and collaborate with external agencies, third-party platforms, and internal teams to optimise online fundraising and peer-to-peer events.
  • Work with Partnerships Manager to identify opportunities for corporate partners.
  • Support execution of third-party events and activations for key corporate partners.
  • Implement a donor care program focusing on prospecting, acquisition, activation, retention, and loyalty.
  • Develop onboarding and stewardship strategies for community fundraisers to increase participation and fundraising success.
  • Create and execute a VIP program for high-value fundraisers.
  • Provide hands-on support for community fundraisers, building trust through excellent client service and program delivery.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in fundraising, community engagement, or campaign management.
  • Superior project management skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with third-party fundraising platforms like GoFundraise and Grassrootz.
  • High energy, donor-centric outlook, and a strong sense of initiative.
  • Goal-oriented with a solutions-focused, "can-do" attitude.
  • Excellent customer service skills and highly organised.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools like Campaign Monitor.
  • Passionate about ACRF’s work to support breakthroughs and discoveries in cancer research.
