Each year, Can Too Foundation empowers thousands of Australians to push their limits in training programs that raise vital funds for early-career cancer research. The Impact you will make in this role

As the Senior Programs Manager, you will collaborate closely with Can Too’s CEO and Head of Marketing and Fundraising to enhance how the organisation engages and inspires the Can Too community.

In this key role, you will create opportunities and play an essential part in increasing participation in Can Too’s unique training programs, which will help expand the organisation’s impact in funding innovative and groundbreaking cancer research projects.

By developing and executing both short- and long-term program strategies, you will ensure that participants in Can Too have an exceptional experience, meet and exceed annual targets, and drive meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage Can Too’s community of participants, helping meet and exceed the organisation’s yearly targets.
  • Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing both short-term and long-term program strategies to deliver an outstanding Can Too program experience.
  • Oversee the Foundation’s operational plans, including decisions on program locations, budgets, staffing, and timelines.
  • Manage Can Too's national program calendar, ensuring well-timed program rollouts and optimal participant experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Fundraising team to plan and manage participant and leadership communications across all programs.
  • Lead and motivate the small and passionate program team, ensuring alignment with Can Too’s vision and mission, and fostering a positive and satisfying work environment.
  • Oversee coach agreements, including necessary insurance and employment for casual coaches as required.
  • Adhere to annual budget parameters and operating plans, monitoring and approving all program-related expenditures.

About You

You’re passionate about community building, health, and wellness. As an ambassador for the Can Too brand, you thrive in engaging with participants and community partners, project management and managing program logistics.

  • Previous experience in program, event or project management is required.
  • Exceptional organisational, planning, and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple and competing projects and resources.
  • Strong skills in managing both internal and external stakeholders and partners in a collaborative and supportive manner.
  • Maintain a growth-oriented and strategic mindset, demonstrating innovation and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage risk and ensure the safety and satisfaction of all participants and staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at engaging with people at all levels.
  • IT proficiency; experience working with a CRM - Salesforce experience is highly desirable.
