The position

We are seeking an individual to provide project and administration support across a number of client-facing (consulting) and internal projects.

You will possess strong organisation and project management skills, initiative, adaptability, and interpersonal skills to successfully provide support to a variety of different projects and team members.

The nature of the support involves;

  • Supporting external consulting projects that involve extensive logistics and / or administrative support (e.g. engaging with clients to book in meeting and consultations); and
  • Supporting the administration of the business, including (but not limited to) the business development and people and culture functions.

There is significant opportunity to grow in this role, either into a management consultant or as a leader within the internal functions of the business. Impact Co.’s ability to grow over the last 6 years, support career development and build our internal functions is testament to this.

The work that you will be doing includes:

  • Consulting project administration, logistics and support: E.g. supporting in scheduling project team meetings, supporting recruiting and scheduling stakeholder consultations and focus groups, supporting with travel arrangements, and/ or stepping into to support with note-taking in consultations or capturing workshop outputs
  • Client and stakeholder engagement: Where relevant, some of the administration and logistics support (mentioned above) will involve building relationships, trust and rapport with clients and / or community members (e.g. if conducting screening calls with community members for recruitment)
  • Project management: Actively managing the progress of projects and coordinating key project activities, ensuring that they run to agreed timelines
  • Business development support: Supporting team members with their account management, creating business development materials and supporting with business development campaigns and mailouts
  • People and culture support: Supporting with the day-to-day operations of the people and culture function, including recruitment, administrative/ logistical components of L&D and document management
  • Other internal projects: Providing assistance to other parts of the business where required and as we continue to grow. This could involve streamlining processes or rolling out new initiatives.

All of this work will be done in close collaboration with other consultants and/ or Directors, who will provide the support and coaching you need to develop into a high-performing team member.

About you

  • 1 – 3 years of professional experience (either in administration, project management, project support work or management consulting)
  • Interest and/or experience working in at least one of Impact Co.’s sectors of focus
  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple projects at the same time and ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability (including having the willingness, adaptability and initiative) to work both autonomously and within a dynamic, team-based environment across a variety of projects, internal and external
  • Excellent project management skills (planning, organisation and time management)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral
  • A mindset of continuous improvement, that is constantly looking for ways to improve processes and operations
