The National Projects Manager is a new role that has been created because of Inclusion Australia's increased focus on larger and more impactful projects.

This is a fully remote role, open to you wherever you live in Australia.

The role can be part time (0.8FTE) or full time: 30 to 38 hours per week.

You can choose your working hours between 7.30am and 6pm your local time.

This is a contract role through until 30 June 2026. The role will most likely continue past that date, dependent on funding.

Purpose of this role

The National Projects Manager will lead the successful delivery of Inclusion Australia's projects, in line with our vision and strategic goals. This role covers the the project lifecycle, from planning, through successful implementation, to reporting and evaluation. You will work on multiple projects at a time, including some that are already underway, as well as conceptualising and pitching for new project work.

What you will do:

Project Management

  • You will support the development of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful project completion
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings with internal teams and external partners
  • Implement evaluation frameworks to assess project outcomes and impact
  • Collect and analyse data to inform reporting, decision-making, and improve project effectiveness

Management of the Project Team

  • Contribute to the management team
  • Lead the project team, including setting clear goals, providing ongoing training and support, and ensuring high performance and morale
  • Delegate work to make the most of people’s strengths, accommodate individual working requirements, and meet timelines

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government, donors, partners, and community members

Resource management

  • Support the identification and application for project funding opportunities
  • Monitor project budgets and resourcing and work with the executive team to ensure projects are on track

Who we’re looking for:

  • You have worked for three or more years in a similar role (maybe with a similar organisation)
  • You have experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • You can use participatory and co-design methods to collect data and measure impact
  • You've had some exposure to writing grant applications and securing grant funding
  • It would be an advantage if you have experience working in or managing government funded projects for organisations in the disability sector, e.g. Information Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) grants
  • You have experience using project management software and tools
  • You have experience working remotely, and it would be an advantage if you've managed a remote team
  • You understand project management principles and methodologies
  • You have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • You are proactive and resourceful, with a problem-solving attitude
  • You must have a police record check before starting the role, and hold current valid employment Working with Children Check at all times
