About the role

As our National Projects Officer, you will work closely with our team to deliver large projects with partners across the country. This will involve a range of tasks like coordinating delivery of varied project activities (e.g. resource development), working with different stakeholders including people with an intellectual disability, and assisting with our projects' monitoring, reporting, and administrative needs.

This role is:

  • Fully remote, open to you wherever you live in Australia
  • On a contract through until 30 June 2026
  • Part-time, 0.5 FTE (equivalent to 19 hours per week)
  • Classified at SCHADS Level 4.

You can choose your working hours between 7.30am and 6pm your local time. Ideally you will be available on Tuesdays.

What you'll do

Your role will include:

  • Working closely with our National Projects Manager and other IA team members
  • Coordinating and supporting meetings and stakeholder groups
  • Supporting our inclusion work, especially the direct engagement of people with an intellectual disability as needed on our projects
  • Contributing to the co-design of accessible project resources and materials.

Who we're looking for

You have:

  • A mix of education and professional experience in relevant roles, maybe in a similar organisation
  • Experience in co-design
  • A commitment to the human rights of people with an intellectual disability and the principles of participation and inclusion
  • Excellent time management, and interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy, including MS Office.

You may also have personal or close experience in working with people with an intellectual disability.
