Independence Australia is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Business Development Manager looking to grow the new customers acquisition with a specific focus on building referrals and growing business in known and new segments of the In Home & SIL (Supported Independent Living) NDIS marketplace.

Business Development Manager is responsible for new customers acquisition with a specific focus on building referrals and growing business in known and new segments of the In Home & SIL (Supported Independent Living) NDIS marketplace. The role provides a link between Independence Australia’s current model of service provision and the proactive promotion of innovative models of service.

Reporting to the Executive General Manager Growth, the person in the role would succeed with a business sales plan that delivers close working relationships with current intermediary and referring organisations and brings new customers to the organisation by providing personalised solutions for people in our current known markets. This operational role will link into existing client intake processes. The role has two direct reports, and the role will also work constructively with the Services Team and Digital Marketing Team to support this person in delivering personalised and rapid response to the market demands for in home and SIL supports.

What will make you successful?

We are seeking a standout candidate with the following demonstrated capabilities:

  • Pure Sales Person: new business “Hunter”.
  • Proven Track record in the business development space.
  • Preferable, Experience in the “Complex Care Industry”/NDIS (such as disability, health, community and aged care).

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead new business and inform integration team to deliver excellence in delivering market demand and to deliver excellent Customer experience.
  • Be accountable & responsible for business requirements and financial revenue targets each year in line with departmental business plans.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports on actual acquisition data vs budgeted targets.
  • Inform and contribute towards the strategic business plans for new business and Integration area for each financial year with learning’s on completion of each annual period.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and build own qualified opportunity pipeline while managing your own opportunity pipeline, prioritising and monitoring progression from initial identification to full-service delivery.
  • Build, manage and enhance networks and active referral networks in Hospital/ Aged Care/ Allied Health organisations.
  • Deliver reports to assist organisational decision making.
  • Operate in a manner consistent with IA’s vision and an ongoing commitment to mutually respect to all stakeholders.
  • Undertake continuing professional development.
