Mentor (Voluntary) - Merri-bek TAC L2P Program

Inner Northern LLEN

The Merri-bek TAC L2P Program is delivered by Inner Northern Local Learning and Employment Network Inc and has been operating for the past 14 years.

The program assists disadvantaged young learner drivers (16-21 years) who have no access to a supervising driver or car to gain the 120 hours of driving experience required to apply for their probationary licence. Young people are matched to a volunteer mentor and use one of our vehicles to gain the 120 hours of driving required. There is no cost to the young learner driver or the mentor to be involved in the program.

Volunteers undertake comprehensive VicRoads training to become a mentor and are supported by our Coordinator while in the program.
