We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated Casual Trainee Educators to join our School Services Team. The School Services programs run in many primary schools during NSW/VIC school terms and provide relationship and sexuality education programs based on a sound educational principle to assist students and families address specific questions students have around gender, sexuality, and communication.
The successful candidate, once trained, will be responsible in conducting relationship and sexuality education programs on their own for primary school students, parents, and community members as required, and will promote Interrelate programs & services.
There will be day & evening work involved during the school term, and the need for administrative tasks to be completed from home, hence you will require a home office set up. You must be able to attend compulsory training and attend the end-of-term meetings. Furthermore, you must have access to a motor vehicle, mobile phone, and a current driver's licence.
This is a casual role and the majority of the work available is weighted in School terms 2, 3 and 4.
Ideally, our successful candidate will be based in the Western and Northern Suburbs of Melbourne as the role will service schools within those LGA's.
If you are experienced in the delivery of workshops or training to primary school students & adults and like to run your sessions with a bit of fun to ensure engagement, this role may be for you!
As we like to keep our sessions fun, engaging and educational, you will need to be a confident individual who can improvise as you will need to tackle some curly questions that may come your way.
The successful candidate will also need to be comfortable in working autonomously with minimum supervision as employees working in the school services program are spread across different locations, and majority of the access to your team will be either online or via the phone.
You will need to be available for face to face and online sessions. Day sessions are generally between the hours of 9am to 3pm, and evening sessions are from 6pm to approx. 8.30pm.
