Irabina is one of the largest paediatric autism service providers in Australia and has supported autistic children and young people with autism for the past 52 years. We are at the cutting edge of service delivery and have helped shape how autism therapies are delivered in Australia through evidence-based support, intervention services, education, and training programs.  

As a Behaviour Clinician at Irabina, you will work within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrate a trans-disciplinary approach to intervention. You will have experience working within a Positive Behaviour Framework, and knowledge of state based and national legislation. You will receive ongoing support, guidance and training from our clinical governance and research team members.  

About you

You are looking for a full-time position based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. You have a love and understanding of working with autistic children, young people with autism and their parents and carers. Plus, you will have the following:

  • BCBA Qualification or working towards your certification  
  • Experience working with Behaviours of Concern 
  • Experience across a range of settings and age groups, and client profiles 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving experience
  • Commitment to providing services to people from diverse language/cultural backgrounds.
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • International Police Check when applicable)
  • NDIS Workers check  

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Knowledge and experience working with NDIS participants. 
  • Specialist knowledge in a specific area of clinical practice.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and mentoring
  • Current drivers’ licence (and reliable vehicle)
