The Role

This role will manage the financials of a number of grants, working with IWDA Project Managers on biannual budgeting, monthly reporting, and quarterly acquittal checking. The incumbent will be capable of working cross culturally and supporting overseas based partner organisations with their financial reporting (usually in MYOB, QuickBooks or Excel), working to improve partner financial capability and ensure accurate reporting.

Additionally, this role will focus on compliance and governance of IWDA’s financial systems, ensuring all staff are aware of policies and processes.

The Candidate

You will have:

  • Experience in an NGO in either finance or program coordination/program management
  • Relevant experience in project accounting and general accountancy/bookkeeping and ability to backfill AP and payroll functions on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Knowledge of financial information management systems, preferably NetSuite and Quickbooks/MYOB
  • Experience working with multi-country and multi-currency budgets
  • Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and accuracy in relation to budgeting, reporting, financial monitoring and management, with demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation and communication skills (including reporting, training and presenting)
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance and governance

The Offer

Offered as a part-time (0.6-0.7 FTE) two-year fixed term contract, the annual salary is a SCHADS 5
