Jewish Care Victoria, is a not-for-profit organisation and is one of the largest providers of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria and has been servicing the community for 175 years. Our staff come from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. We offer an Ethos Day—an enriching learning experience that delves into the intricacies of Jewish history and culture. This day aims to foster a comprehensive understanding of the ethos and mission of Jewish Care. 

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and team orientated individual to work alongside the Youth Aspire, Mentoring Coordinator within our Social Services to effectively develop and implement group activities to break down barriers, facilitate and encourage participation and create an atmosphere of inclusion and learning.

What you will do

• Attend the 3-day YAP Camp
• Actively participate and support the Youth Mentoring Coordinator in managing the group in a fun and inclusive way.
• Participate in workshops with the Youth Mentoring Coordinator and support the connections of the group members.
• Encourage participation and create an atmosphere of inclusion and learning.
• Hold a valid drivers licence and be willing and able to drive a mini-van.

• Ability to plan and implement an activity on the spot
• Passion for working with young people including those who have experienced some disadvantage
• Tertiary qualifications in youth work (desirable) or other relevant discipline.
