The Business

It's an organisation dedicated to sustainable land management and community development in Arnhem Land. We are currently undertaking a significant project involving the construction of multiple buildings aimed at enhancing learning and community facilities.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to help launch and grow an exciting new Civil Construction Social Enterprise. Work closely with our CEO and Board to drive operations, engage with the community, and build strong stakeholder relationships.

You will travel across NT with occasional trips to Queensland & will report to: the CEO & Board.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the project plan, perform instrumental administrative tasks.
  • Oversee daily operations and logistics, including resource allocation and scheduling ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Engagement with local Indigenous businesses, community members, Council, Government and organisations to foster partnerships and support for the social enterprise.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports detailing progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Support business growth and strategic initiatives aimed at achieving long-term sustainability and impact.
  • Assist in the preparation of business plans, capability statements, proposals and bids for new contracts to contribution to the long-term sustainability of the social enterprise.
  • Represent the company at meetings and events alongside Board Members.
  • Liaise with the local community to identify individuals with relevant skills and experience for employment to increase employment rates for Indigenous people.

About You

  • A highly organised and proactive individual with a passion for social impact.
  • A background in civil or construction industries.
  • Exceptional organisational, coordination and administration skills.
  • Proactive and Self-motivated.
  • Strong communicator with experience in community and stakeholder engagement.
  • Tech-savvy.
  • Humility, with the ability to draw on the expertise of others
  • Adaptable and Flexible: Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving environment, with the ability to adapt to new challenges and changes in priorities.
  • Passionate about making a difference and culturally sensitive.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Indigenous organisations and communities.
  • Experience dealing with councils and government bodies.
  • Background in fast-growing businesses or start-ups.

Your Reward
