Based in the Melbourne CBD, and with a long history, our client is a non-denominational organisation that provides assistance to thousands of Victorian people and communities experiencing disadvantage. This leadership role sits within their Youth Homelessness portfolio which provides multidisciplinary holistic programs through site-based support and community-based outreach.

About the Role

The Operations Manager - Youth Homelessness overseeing the day-to-day operational management and leadership of a medium sized team with the purpose of delivering a range of services aimed to prevent or reduce the impacts of homelessness, and cycles of disadvantage. This role also involves external stakeholder management and being the flagship youth homelessness site for the organisation, is also seen as a public facing position.

About You

To be successful in this role it is essential you have:

• Ideally a minimum of 4 years operational leadership experience, knowledge and skills across the homelessness services sector
• Demonstrated experience working in the Youth Services space with young people from a diverse range of backgrounds
• Excellent leadership capability that can demonstrate the ability to focus on team growth and development
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills interacting with people of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Experience in risk management in a high risk/ crisis response environment
• Hold relevant tertiary qualifications across Social Work, Youth Work, Social Science or related
