The Opportunity

The Joii Board is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer. As the CEO you are responsible for implementing the decisions of the Board, supporting the Chair in their role and managing the day-to-day operations of Joii both from a fund-raising and social impact perspective, your key functions include:

  • Acting as the primary link between Directors and the organisation and being responsible for assisting Directors in developing strategy & policy.
  • Providing leadership to staff in achieving Board objectives.
  • Overseeing the management of the operations (fund-raising activities).
  • Managing and growing the social impact programs.

About you

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Significant experience and knowledge of leading an organisation at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated compassion for helping the disadvantaged through your employment or volunteering.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in one or more of Joii’s key income sources that being residential construction, labour hire and immigration.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential and post-graduate management qualifications will be well regarded.
  • Proven high-level financial planning and financial management skills in a multi-disciplined organisation.
  • Organisational management abilities and business acumen complemented by the application of contemporary management principles in a not-for-profit or equivalent public sector environment.

Responsibilities

Works with the Board:

  • To advise the Board and the Board Chair on relevant matters.
  • To provide an interface between Employees and Directors.

Manages the Organisation:

  • Provide leadership for Joii’s day-to-day fund-raising operations.
  • A hands-on role leading and developing Joii’s social impact programs.
  • Develop and implement improvement and performance management systems.
  • Oversee the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
  • Work with and through the senior executive team to develop and manage the organisation's social impact programs and operational effectiveness.
