Karitane is seeking an experienced Health Information Manager to join the governance and corporate services team, to maintain and manage clinical information services at Karitane. The role is responsible for ensuring Karitane meets legislative, best practice and consistency of client health information, and contributes to the delivery of effective and efficient health services by supporting electronic medical records for service delivery, decision making and reporting activities.
Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the creation, storage and destruction of patient records, collecting and analysing patient data, managing access requests in accordance with relevant legislation, generating and utilising health informatics to evaluate and inform service delivery and models of care.
Karitane staff provide safe, effective, quality care consistent with the organisation’s mission, philosophy, values and standards of care, and adhere to the NSW Health Code of Conduct.
Permanent part time employment in accordance with The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Health Managers (State) Award 2009 and any other Agreement that follows thereafter. Karitane services are provided at a number of sites within the Sydney Metropolitan Area.
The majority of Karitane’s services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave.
