Work for an independent, not-for-profit entity that supports and partners with communities across regional Australia to manage the transition to a climate-safe and regenerative economy.

We are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager that requires you to be involved in day-to-day accounting and be able to be strategic working with the Senior Management team.

This role is a permanent part-time role 15.2 - 19 hours per week (2 – 2.5 days/week). You are able to work over two days or spread out over the week. The role offers the ability to work Hybrid.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monthly GL journals, accruals, and all Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Monthly/quarterly financial and management reporting
• Manage payroll
• Lodgement and reconciliation of all Business Activity Statements and other statutory obligation (Superannuation etc)
• AP and AR processing
• Bank Reconciliations
• Cash flow reporting
• Development and Preparation of budget
• Support costing and pricing for proposals and grant submissions
• Participate in the development of strategies and guidelines that enhance and promote the understanding and implementation of sound financial practices and systems.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor level qualification in accounting
• CPA or CA Qualification
• Working Knowledge of Xero

Skills:

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong decision-making skills
• High level of attention
• Ability to develop strong working relationships - internal and external.
• Strong planning and prioritisation

It would be ideal if you have experience working within a Not-for-profit or community sector.
