As a proven motivator of people, the Manager will work co-operatively with multidiscipline teams of staff and volunteers. The Manager will be instrumental in facilitating funding opportunities which will assist in supporting individuals and groups to strengthen skills, knowledge and capability and thereby, building the capacity of the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations and manage staff and volunteers.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and community programs.
  • Oversee financial management and compliance with policies.
  • Build strong relationships with community stakeholders.

Role Requirements:

  • Significant experience in management (preferably in Adult Community Education and/or Childcare and Community development in the community sector) with highly developed leadership, strategic planning, financial management and team building skills.
  • Experience in development of strategic partnerships with other community organisations and stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Significant experience in operational program planning and delivery, including grant writing and contract management.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the Lalor/City of Whittlesea area.
  • A tertiary qualification in Management, Community Development or Education, is highly desirable.
