About the role

As Service Manager you will be responsible for leading Launch Housing’s vision, values and strategy through a Trauma Informed Leadership approach. You will be accountable for the delivery of effective child and family services in a homelessness context, including case management focused services for families and children experiencing homelessness, and/or family violence.

Your role will also include oversight of a crisis accommodation facility for families as well as the Accommodation Options for Families programs; Children's Specialist Support Service; and transitional support programs for families experiencing homelessness.

You are a leader who focuses on impact and outcomes through a trauma informed lens and who understands gendered experiences of homelessness for families and children. You will be skilled in partnership and stakeholder management and be experienced in quality and service improvements and innovation in service design. You will demonstrate leadership diverse teams to ensure workplace and spaces are physically, culturally and psychologically safe for staff. You will be adaptive and experienced in leading through change to create new ways of working.

You will:

  • Ensure a consistent, compliant, and best-practice approach to service delivery across all Specialist Child & Family Services area.
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with government, community partners, donors and other key internal and external stakeholders to improve our service reach, service quality and outcomes.
  • Establish operational policies and procedures with a focus on trauma informed approaches and quality services and lead implementation strategies to improve our services for the communities we serve.
  • Support improvement of client outcomes and satisfaction across all Specialist Child & Family Services programs.
  • Monitor and report routinely against agreed and established data trends, evaluate and measure service provision ensuring that key data is available to quantify the impact and outcomes of the Specialist Child & Family Services area.
  • Inspire and drive a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, outcomes, and inclusivity with a strong safety focus both physical and psychological.
  • Work with a committed and motivated team of leaders and staff to end homelessness for families and children in Melbourne.

You are a collaborative, adaptive and values driven leader with a passion to make a real difference in people’s lives. You have proven experience working in community or public sectors and it would be advantageous to have experience in a similar program.You will also have;

  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma informed child and family services approaches and knowledge of Family Violence and Gender-Based Violence in a homelessness context, and the impacts of these approaches on client care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others towards effective client outcomes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of Launch Housing and our mission to end homelessness.
