We are looking for someone to assess the needs of referred clients and provide them with opportunities to actively participate in establishing their goals and the collaborative development of evidence-based treatment plans, including making appropriate referrals to external sources where required.

Reporting to the Team Leader Gamblers’ Help, the Therapeutic Counsellor provides high quality counselling to people experiencing the effects of problem gambling. They will also provide assessment, and referral functions, which maximise the ability of clients to function effectively in all aspects of their lives.

To be successful, you will require:

  • Undergraduate degree (or near completion) in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare or other related degree
  • A current Working with Children
  • Victorian driver’s licence
