Learning Links was established in 1972 by parents concerned about the lack of appropriate support services to meet their children’s education and wellbeing needs. Today, our focus is on preventing learning difficulties from causing disadvantage by collaborating with schools, early childhood settings and parents to intervene early with multidisciplinary services across psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy, specialist and early education. Since 1972 we have partnered with thousands of children and families to help children reach their full potential.

About the Role:

Reading for Life and Counting for Life are exciting school–based reading and numeracy programs that have helped thousands of children improve their reading and numeracy skills. The For Life Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of programs across Australia. This includes the effective coordination of all staff and programs and establishing networks across the wider educational and general communities.

Main Duties and Scope of Role

  • Coordinate staff and volunteers to deliver the program
  • Coordinate and deliver high quality programs that meet agreed customer expectations
  • Establish and maintain effective networks and relationships with schools, corporate partners, volunteers, and the wider educational and general communities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation;
  • Provide program reports and information on time and as required to internal stakeholders.
  • Utilise project planning, organisational, and time management skills to deliver on agreed expectations, and to coordinate and prioritise competing priorities.
  • Some travel in Sydney may be required for school meetings

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum 3 years work experience working in a coordination role
  • Highly efficient and organised
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with ability to manage and prioritise workloads
  • Possess excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills using various mediums
  • Commitment to working in partnership with schools, corporate bodies, parents and the wider community
  • Demonstrate an effective understanding and use of multiple IT platforms e.g. word, excel and outlook
  • Willing to base yourself at one of sites either Alexandria, Bella Vista, Gledswood Hills, Liverpool, OR Peakhurst
