ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Marketing Team Leader to join our dedicated Fundraising and Marketing team to oversee brand-related marketing tasks, reporting directly to the Fundraising and Marketing Manager. The Marketing Team Leader is responsible for driving awareness and support for Melbourne Legacy through strategic planning, branding, and stakeholder engagement.

They operate within a compassionate, client-focused framework and possess strong communication and marketing expertise. This position is responsible for developing a digital marketing strategy aligned with organisational goals, maintaining brand awareness and integrity across all marketing channels, creating content for various marketing materials both during and in between campaigns, including designing graphics for marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, posters, banners etc.), as well as creating eye-catching social media posts, including static images, gifs, and short videos to drive engagement and promote brand awareness.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Professional qualifications or experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing digital marketing strategies, including creating engaging content for campaigns, social media, and graphic design for marketing collateral.
  • Strong ability to manage public relations, engage proactively with media and stakeholders, and effectively communicate an organisation’s mission to inspire community support.
  • Proficient in data analysis for program evaluation and decision-making. Experience with Salesforce, or a similar CRM preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Highly motivated and adaptable to change, with a creative mindset.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Undertake national police check and a working with children check.
  • You will be required to have been vaccinated for influenza, COVID-19 and any other highly transmittable diseases determined to be applicable or be required to produce an exemption from a registered medical practitioner.
