About us

Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas of criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.

About you

The Client Service Unit is looking for a temporary (until 30 June 2025) Senior Project Officer to join us working on the next stages of client service transformation.

About the role

The Senior Project Officer, Client Services Unit manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic and operational client service projects which support the achievement of the Legal Aid NSW Strategic Plan 2023-2028 and other organisational objectives.

The essential requirements for this role 

You must:

  • be willing to do a Criminal Record Check and/or Working with Children Check
  • hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies) or a valid visa to work in Australia (for temporary vacancies)
  • have demonstrated knowledge and expertise in research, analysis and communication
  • have demonstrated experience in managing complex projects in short timeframes
  • have demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining multiple stakeholder relationships 

The following requirements are desirable:

  • have demonstrated knowledge and experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • have demonstrated understanding of the legal assistance sector
