Do you have a passion for guiding children to connect deeply with nature through bush craft, storytelling, and natural sciences?
We're seeking a passionate nature educator to guide children's learning and growth through immersive outdoor experiences that nurture curiosity and potential.
Life Rocks is a not-for-profit organisation that connects children, families and teachers with the magic of nature. We have a vision for humanity to develop a culture of deep connection with nature, for a happier and healthier future.
Earth Bubs Nature Connection Mentor– Leading the Earth Bubs program held once a week over 10 weeks during regular school term time. LOCATION: Melbourne (Kangaroo Ground), Monday mornings 10am-12pm.
A nurturing program for children aged 0-4 years old, designed to meaningfully connect little ones with the Earth and each other. Nature provides perfect opportunities for sensory play and growth, regulation and fresh air- it really is the simple things after all isn’t it? Each session is relatively simple. We will share stories and songs about local wildlife, bugs, and the magnificent plants that provide nourishment and habitat for all living creatures. We may even bake a mud pie or two.
Beautiful songs, that could include puppets, will anchor language learning through somatic movements and connection, fostering deep bonding between parent and child. Our environment is a nature haven- a safe sensory world of sights, sounds, smells, and textures where children and parents can flourish and grow. It is a space for children to explore, and parents to recharge and connect.
Through constructive, collaborative play with clay, mud kitchen, painting, and singing in nature, our Earth Bubs term program is designed to create lasting meaning and memories. Our experienced facilitator (you!) will guide this journey, supporting children in building skills, learning, and connection. These nurturing spaces are truly magical- we've witnessed remarkable developments from children who participate.
While we will be preferencing those with experience working with children and/or running nature connection programs, if reading this has made you feel alive and excited, but you may not have extensive experience, – guidance and training will be provided for the right candidate by one of our experienced Nature Educators.
