Lifestart Disability Services is an Early Childhood Partner, delivering the NDIS Early Childhood Approach across the Eastern Suburbs and Southern Districts. We work in partnership to empower children aged 0-9 years and their families, building their capacity so they have the tools to reach their full potential.
As an Early Childhood Coordinator, you will be working flexibly in a hybrid model, including working from home, at our offices in Malabar and Miranda, within client homes, at preschools, schools and within other community-based settings. This role is offered on a full-time maximum term basis to June 2026.

Key Responsibilities
As an Early Childhood Coordinator, you will serve as the Key Worker and play a crucial role supporting families who have concerns about their child's development including:
- Assisting families to develop goals for their child that reflect family/carer goals and priorities.
- Conducting assessments and delivering tailored supports in line with NDIS Early Childhood Approach.
- Providing information and supporting families to access mainstream and community services as required, to support their needs, and those of their child/children.
- Implementing short-term early intervention strategies that support the child's development.
- Managing and coordinating referrals to appropriate services, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care for the child
- Participating in community capacity building initiatives and support mainstream service providers to become accessible to those with developmental delay or disability.
- Preparing relevant reports and documentation relating to your allocated families, in accordance with NDIA requirements.
- Working within a transdisciplinary team, sharing experiences and expertise, collaborating with others to ensure a holistic approach to early childhood intervention.
about you:
- Diploma or degree qualification in Early Childhood Education, Teaching, Child Development, Special or Inclusive Education (or similar) or any allied health discipline
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and early intervention supports and concepts
- Relevant experience supporting children with additional needs and using person and family centred approaches
- Be tech-savvy with high-level report writing and communication skills, and act with discretion and confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, working collaboratively with clients, community, and internal departments
- Knowledge of disability, the NDIS and Early Childhood Approach
- Aligning with Lifestart’s values of Empowerment, Equity, Collaboration and Impact.
- Hold a current Drivers Licence and registered vehicle, and able to travel across Southern Districts & Eastern Suburbs
- Currently have (or willing to obtain) NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children clearance, criminal history checks
- Full COVID-19 vaccination (including booster) or eligible medical exemption
