Guided by our core values—Empowerment, Equity, Collaboration, and Impact—we're committed to making a meaningful difference in their lives. Our Therapy and Behaviour Support team partners with families to provide tailored therapy supports, helping children and young people achieve their goals and thrive in their communities. We are a dedicated group of allied health and behaviour support professionals driven by making a lasting impact.

About the Role:

As a Therapy Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our Therapy and Behaviour Support team with key behind-the-scenes tasks. This part-time role (22.8 hours per week) offers flexible hours to suit your lifestyle. Whether you prefer 3 full days or reduced hours spread over the week, we’ll work with you to find the right fit. This role will support all three of our offices in Rhodes, Turramurra and Baulkham Hills.

In this role, you will handle essential tasks like organising therapy environments, creating resources, and assisting with contacting families as required. While you won’t be directly interacting with clients, your work will be critical in ensuring our therapists can focus on providing tailored and effective therapy supports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support and create resources for our therapy and behaviour support team.
  • Prepare and maintain therapy environments, ensuring spaces are clean and welcoming.
  • Clean and maintain therapy toys and equipment.
  • Contact families to assist with program sign-ups.
  • Occasionally support group programs on an as-needed basis.

About you:

This role is perfect for a parent seeking school-friendly hours or a student studying an allied health qualification who wants practical experience in the disability sector. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Is proactive, supportive, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Is passionate about helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
  • Is happy to work across our Rhodes, Turramurra, and Baulkham Hills offices.
  • Has full legal work rights in Australia.
  • Has a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain if successful.
  • Is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including a booster) or has an eligible medical exemption.
  • Valid Driver Licence and access to a registered vehicle desirable but not essential.

Our Benefits:

At Lifestart, we pride ourselves on our reputation within the disability sector. You’ll be joining a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team where your contributions are recognised and valued.

Why join us?

  • Flexible working hours that can fit around your life.
  • A supportive team environment where your contributions truly matter.
  • Opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the disability sector.
  • A fulfilling role supporting positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

What we offer:

  • Competitive base salary + superannuation + leave loading.
  • Salary packaging benefits to increase your take-home pay by $4,000–$6,000.
  • An extra week of paid leave issued in December each year.
