This is a full-time 70/82hr split per fortnight, roster-based role. A combination of one morning shift per fortnight longer days, afternoon/evenings and 2 weekends per month days.
Supporting a mixed client group with a variety of complex support needs both physical and behavioural. All clients are ambulant - some walk with aids, one client is deaf and uses signing to communicate. Full support is required with personal hygiene, meal preparation, daily living, road safety, household living tasks.
As the successful applicant we need you to actively demonstrate previous successes working clients with behaviours of concern and dual disabilities. You will have proven experience in working in group homes and have a sound knowledge of relevant legislation as well as excellent skills in communicating effectively with a diverse group of key stakeholders as a leader, mentor and advocate for clients and staff alike.
You must be a hands-on team player with positive behaviour support experience and leadership capabilities able to support the House Supervisor as a 2IC promote and provide best practice support to clients as well as supervision and mentoring of other team members.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
