Lighthouse Foundation offers an integrated therapeutic model of care for homeless children and young people who predominantly come from a background of long-term neglect and abuse. In a Lighthouse home, children, young people and families are supported by Therapeutic Carers as well as specialist services including case management and psychological support.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reception is often the first point of contact for Lighthouse’s internal and external contacts. Therefore, the incumbent needs to represent the organisation’s values and philosophies, and create a welcoming and supportive introduction to Lighthouse Foundation for young people and key stakeholders alike.

The Administration Support component of the role will be critical in providing operational administration support to the Director of Operations and supporting team.

Essential requirements

• Have experience in a similar role
• Be a quick learner and have great attention to detail
• Be highly organised and able to manage priorities and workload in a busy environment
• Have the ability to engage and make welcome young people, key networks and stakeholders as they come into the youth resource centre and over the phone contact
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have strong computer/technology skills
• Demonstrate commitment to and understanding of the vision and work of Lighthouse Foundation
• Hold/obtain a current Working with Children Check
• Complete a National Criminal Records check and undergo an in-house psycho-social screen
• Hold a current driver's license
