ABOUT US

Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where kids can feel safe, form meaningful relationships and begin to heal from traumatic experiences.

For the past 30 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Team Leader role provides an exciting opportunity to lead a team of Therapeutic Case Managers. The role will lead service delivery, people management, and review the programs to ensure best practice and quality services. The Community Care Team is responsible for intake of young people across the Youth Services homes, employing a relational approach with young people and referring agencies. It also includes a unique outreach program, On for Life, which supports young people following their transition to independence. Leading this team will offer variety and opportunity to develop an innovative program offering.

ABOUT YOU

  • You are passionate in leading a therapeutic response to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • You have experience working within case management or intake
  • You are passionate about authentic and adaptive leadership
  • You believe in the quality therapeutic care of young people
  • You want to contribute to one of Melbourne’s most dynamic and respected agencies in trauma informed care

  • Fortnightly clinical supervision from our Psychological Wellness Team
  • Fortnightly operational supervision with Program Manager
  • Group reflective practice sessions
  • Ongoing training and development through the Lighthouse Institute
