Do you want to do interesting, meaningful work that engages with the world? To understand how climate change is affecting Pacific communities? To help protect ecosystems while benefiting livelihoods?

So do we.

At Live & Learn, we work directly with local people in countries across Asia and the Pacific to help build community resilience to the impacts of climate change, protect ecosystems and strengthen the connection between people and the places they live.

As Climate Resilient Islands Country Support Coordinator, you’ll work closely with Live & Learn country teams on the Climate Resilient Islands programme. This role is a key part of that. As part of the Country Support Team, you’ll be overseeing programme implementation, building relationships and working closely with teams and communities across those countries to work together towards improving climate resilience. Based in Live & Learn’s Melbourne office, you’ll get regular opportunities to travel internationally so you can build stronger connections with the people and places you’re working with!

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Support work packages through Program Management System (currently Asana) in line with the Inception/Project Design Document Report and all revisions to the program design.
  • Actively track and document activity progress through Program Management Systems tools (including Asana, mWater) and reports from Country Teams to provide quality quarterly and annual reports to donor.
  • Ensure that Live & Learn approaches and tools are embedded into implementation approaches.
  • Manage the coordination of allocated in-country activities and operations relating to the CRI Programme.
  • Support partnership arrangements with local Live & Learn offices, including escalation of risks and emerging issues as necessary.
  • Support as required with advisors for technical research/support/advice on nature-based solutions, indigenous knowledge, climate resilience and related fields aligned to the Program.
