At Live & Learn Environmental Education, we work directly with communities in countries across Asia and the Pacific to help build community resilience to the impacts of climate change, protect ecosystems, and strengthen the connection between people and the places they live.

We are establishing a new learning programme to share our approaches to community climate resilience. The programme includes online learning, a learning exchange conference with representatives from 10 countries, and bespoke training sessions in four countries. In this role you’ll be working with a close team to build the learning community in a new online training program, coordinating content and logistics support for a variety of face-to-face learning events, and providing overall administrative support to the programme.

You will enjoy, and be challenged by, being part of a close team that continually looks for new learning, ideas, and innovative concepts to communicating complex systems work, ecosystem design thinking, and community-led resilience.

Based in Live & Learn’s Network Support office in Melbourne, you’ll get regular opportunities to travel internationally so you can build stronger connections with the people and places you’re working with!

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the learning experience in the Learning Management System, including helping enroll learners in the Partnership Training Programme, tracking participation and progress and arranging logistics
  • Support in developing learning content for the LMS
  • Overseeing planning and logistics for learning exchange conference event, including venue, flights, accommodation and more
  • Working with local, in-country Live & Learn staff to contextualise training and events

What you can bring to the position:

  • Interest in communicating ideas such as complex systems, ecological design thinking, resilience and more.
  • Relationships and collaboration with people from diverse countries in the South Pacific.
  • Coordination and implementation of learning events (such as conferences, webinars, etc).
  • Administration of learning management system and online collaboration tools.
  • Project administration in platforms such as Asana.
  • Project logistics – including managing relationships with suppliers (venue, accommodation, flights, etc).
  • Comfortable working in rapidly changing environments, with ability to adjust to new circumstances or opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of and personal commitment to responding to climate change impact in positive ways.
  • Commitment to integrating localisation principles and openness to learning from diverse perspectives from our the country teams and local communities where we work.

What we offer:

  • Salary Range: Coordinator (Level 4.1-4.3) AUD 77,844- AUD 81,380 excl. superannuation
  • Flexible working hours and locations, with the option to work from home 2-3 days per week
