Lively is a unique not-for-profit that's revolutionising aged care through intergenerational connection. Our program pairs older community members with enthusiastic, big-hearted young Helpers who bring joy, companionship, and practical assistance into their lives. Using an intergenerational model, Lively is creating a society where both younger and older people feel valued, connected and supported.

We are pioneering a more sustainable, inclusive, and joyful future for aged care. We're creating spaces where the exchange of knowledge and vitality enriches lives across all ages, because we fundamentally believe that we need each other.

By 2027, we envision 500 community members in Melbourne sharing laughter, stories, and companionship with our young Helpers, creating memories that span generations through practical wellbeing support.

Over the next 12 months, we have strong growth goals to help expand our service offering and reach our ambition 2027 impact goal. We are seeking a skilled Digital Communications Coordinator to take over our essential day-to-day digital communications platforms and build a strong, consistent online presence that demonstrates our impact and reinforces our brand story. This person will be supported by and supporting our Partnerships Manager.

We are seeking someone just as passionate about changing the aged care sector and tackling ageism while bolstering youth employment and building meaningful connections across the generations. Our team might be small but we have a mighty heart, and we need you to help us grow our voice.

THE POSITION

We are looking for a skilled Digital Communications Coordinator to work closely with the Partnerships Manager in helping to achieve consistency of digital marketing over the next 9 months and bring to life our recently-developed 2024-25 marketing and growth strategy. You will be supported during your non-work days by the Partnerships Manager with tasks including collating information and resources. However, this role will be focused on the planning and execution of content across the identified channels in the marketing strategy.

In this 1-day per week position you will be responsible for:

Social media management [60%]

  • Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across Lively’s social media platforms focused on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships Manager to develop quarterly social media plan, including blog planning, involving online campaigns that align with some of our content pillars:
    • Our impact: sharing inspiring stories of connection and creativity from our members and Helpers.
    • Thought leadership: explaining why we’re committed to challenging ageism and nurturing intergenerational relationships, sharing relevant articles or commentary from team members.
    • Working at Lively: meeting our team, hearing from helpers, how we work and relate.
  • Monitor social media channels, engagement, and develop monthly reports to assess the effectiveness of our social media strategy.

Lively website management [10%]

  • Manage website content and ensure it is kept up to date.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships Manager to ensure Lively’s website is fit-for-purpose in supporting partner outreach and sales enablement.

Lively newsletter curation [20%]

  • Curate and publish our bimonthly newsletter, the Lively Gazette, posted to our website and across social media

Google ads management [10%]

  • Collaborate with the Partnerships Manager to maintain up-to-date Google ads campaigns aligned with our growth and marketing goals

ABOUT YOU

You are a skilled and motivated verbal and written communicator who has a love for storytelling and bringing to life the stories that are often missed. You have experience managing digital campaigns and exposure to B2B lead generation tactics.

You also believe in what we do and why. Lively is more than a business, it’s about having an impact on those around us and sharing stories about older and younger people connecting and defying stereotypes!

You have a high level of attention to detail, are confident working autonomously, and can manage your time efficiently.

You are full of ideas about how Lively can use digital platforms to tell inspiring stories of intergenerational connection that position us as a dynamic, innovative leader in aged care, in ways that align with our organisational strategy to position ourselves as an attractive partner to local government and aged care providers.

You’re a positive, collaborative team player who is excited about trying new approaches and is ready to challenge our thinking and have yours challenged in return!

Other key skills:

  • A love for storytelling!
  • Project and campaign management including social media channels
  • Experience working with Meta and LinkedIn platforms, extra points for paid ads also!
  • An eye for design and proficiency in creating visual content
  • Experience using programs like Wix Studio (Editor X), Mailchimp, Canva, B2B marketing experience ideal but not a requirement
  • Experience developing collateral, such as social media assets, that are brand aligned
  • A good understanding of Google Ads, including developing and monitoring

The role will be offered as a part-time contract ending 30 June 2025, with the hope of extending beyond this pending your success in the position and confirmation of further funding.

The position will be offered at the full time equivalent of $86,000 pa with salary packaging benefits. The salary is negotiable for the right candidate.
