Living My Way is a trusted Member based not for profit organisation with 30 years of supporting people with disabilities to live independently with choice and control. We have committed to delivering exceptional service standards and outcomes for our Members.

We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Support Workers to join our team and support our valued members living in the St George area and Southern Sydney.

Anyone living locally with a background in disability support would be considered highly desirable. Living My Way also provides training and on-going support.

If you play the guitar or piano this would be looked upon favourably as our we have Members that really thrive and enjoy music!

Experience with children is also a plus!

About the Role:

As a Support Worker you will provide quality care that caters to the individual support needs of our Members. The role involves engaging and communicating Living My Way's values to foster inclusion, choice and control in all aspects of our services:

• Provide high-quality care
• Personal care (including: toileting, showering, grooming etc.)
• Manual Handling (including hoist transfers)
• Medication management
• Meal preparation
• Light household tasks
• Assistance in the community and with recreational activities
• Engage and treat our Members with genuine dignity and respect
• Complete all relevant documentation and reporting as required

Requirements:

• You must have the right to live and work in Australia
• NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working within the Disability Sector (desirable)
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or similar qualification (desirable)
• Competent IT Skills and a Smart phone (Schedule and Intranet requirements)
